Combine errands: compare distance, time and travel costs

Combine errands: compare distance, time and travel costs. Cash saved (separate − combined); Trip difference (original − planned).

Quantity comparison for ordinary shopping and household errands. Excludes emergency travel, decisions to reduce medically necessary travel, evacuation, safety-required outings, delivery-driver work and commercial logistics routing. No route safety, maps, traffic, optimal route, fuel prices, fuel efficiency or parking fees inferred. No recommendation to reduce trips or detour. Starting values are editable examples. Apply the same currency, distance unit and cost basis to both scenarios; no automatic unit conversion. Time value is a separate reference, not spending. Enter each separate round trip (1–10 errands), and the entire combined outing. Set your own distance cost basis, such as fuel only or all vehicle costs, and apply it equally. Distance/time savings floor at zero; cash keeps its sign. Zero-baseline percentages are unavailable.

Method

Cash saved (separate − combined) = Separate round trips(Cash cost) − Combined outing (entire trip)(Cash cost); Distance saved (minimum zero) = max(0, Separate round trips(Distance) − Combined outing (entire trip)(Distance)); Minutes saved (minimum zero) = max(0, Separate round trips(Time (minutes)) − Combined outing (entire trip)(Time (minutes))); Time value savings reference = Minutes saved (minimum zero) ÷ 60 × Time value/hour (optional, not cash).
